Chapter 3- billboard design 101

1. because the audience needs something as obvious as a billboard.
2. clear hierarchy, advantage of conventions, break up pages, obvious clicks, minimize noise.
3. importance, order
4. bold, big, color, clickable, accessible.
5. same color, same size, same area
6. conventions
7. hierarchy
8. newspaper
9. online, like shopping chart images
10. look for words or use more energy than needed
11. its hard to understand and look at
12. a layout or image that is noticeable and recognizable
13. somebody's bright idea, until everyone starts using it
14. shopping cart or TV icon in corner
15. because some people might not recognize them or understand what they are meant for
16. you need to make sure its a clear and innovate design
17. because if you don't everything will get smushed together and no one will know whats important
18. decide very quickly which parts they like and don't ever use the others
19. a little arrow, the word search, value
20. one is too much stuff, the other is too much pattern or background
21. lines between items
22. everything is noise until proven otherwise
