My favorite artist during the field trip was Dylan Mortimer with his exhibit "Illuminate". His work really spoke to me because he was not only making art, which he loved, but he also incorporated his personal life into it. One of the main reasons I enjoyed his work so much was because I could relate to him. My father was a pastor, and I am an artist myself. So seeing not only his talent, but his faith in just a few lights amazes me. And it most definitely inspires me to do the same.
